Day one of 31 day challenge to write 500 words a day.
What to write about is to write about what I think about, sorry, but there it is.
So of course I am thinking about God, life and the election. Trump might think that is just about him, but in my humble opinion he is just a punk. He is not even in the top 100 richest people in the USA, in the world he might not even be in the top 1000. The big dogs could eat and spit him out for a snack.. That doesn’t mean he isn’t dangerous. Any punk can be dangerous, give him a gun and it gets worse to be sure. But the nice thing about a punk is that when they do something stupid very few people blame God, religion or philosophical ideology. Its just a stupid punk. Hillary or Cruz on the other hand could easily do stupid stuff and The right extremists will blame all liberals. If Cruz does something stupid the Left will blame all Christian right wingers or just all Christians. Bernie on the other had is much more by himself. Sure they would blame socialists, but ‘They” already do. Basically I just trust him more. He is not doing what he does for money or power. He is doing it for the love of people. For the future of people. Ok that doesn’t make sense, but it is adding to my 500 words, which is really my main point here. Write 500 words before my patient wakes up and I am up to my elbows in poop, piss, blood or sputum, because that is what nurses do. Which is not to say I don’t enjoy my job or want to be a writer so I can stop being a nurse. In fact my dream would to be a writer so I can keep being a nurse, up to my elbows, and the be able to encourage others to get up to their elbows. Maybe not as a nurse, we don’t really need that many nurses, but we do need more people that are willing to get far more dirty than they ever wanted to be in the service of others. Only very silly people become nurses for the money, but far too many people let their daily lives be controlled by the idea that money will make their life better. And look at that I am back to Trump again and I am only at 414 words. My aunt says its better to rich and unhappy than to be poor and unhappy. There is some merit in that but it is also a bit like saying a rotted apple is better that a rotted pear. Personally I would suggest looking for fresh fruit. The trap is thinking comfort or less discomfort than a previous day in our lives is OK. I have met many joyous poor folks and far too many tortured wealthy folks. Hang with the joyous is my motto. And that puts me 5 words over and still clean elbows. 0815
